Just a Bad Dream
You smile at me
Take my hand
Make me promises
You can't keep
Cradle my face
In your hands
Tell me you're sorry
Swear you won't hurt me
The way you did before
I look up at you
Wanting to believe
Something inside
Says no, not again
I want to cry
But nothing comes out
Don't want the lies
Coming from your mouth
Then I wake
Remember you are gone
Breathe a sigh of relief
Instead of tears
This is new!
Could it be
Though you haunt me
I'm getting over you?
