Underdog – Top dog - Owner

If the underdog defeats the top dog
then the underdog becomes a giant killer
. . . of the owner’s affection and expectations

because when a bone has been given to an underdog.
It makes the same trick over and over again
and begs for a bone over and over again.

But who has trained
the owner?

- the underdog and the top dog?

Can it be the name giver
or the care giver?

Association to third stanza: One lab rat says to a newbie: "It's great here. We've shaped these humans' behavior to give us food just for running this maze!"

I recommend George Orwells Animal Farm - there are amazing comparisons :-)
