the voice of a beautiful woman often captures the heart like a lovely song. A sonnet in celebration of her voice
By M.A.Meddings
The soft lilting chime of her voice
Came into my heart and remained
And from then I had no choice
But restless dreams to remember her name
The loveliest name I had ever heard
Like a warm breeze in the evening
These words in my heart like a trembling bird
Delightfully causing my soul to sing
Her words like a cadenced rippling song
Spoke to me for the joy of her love
And my life came apart whenever she'd gone
As the gentle sounds of courting dove
Mimicked my souls rapturous longing
Sang forth a song of the one that I love my darling
