Written several years ago, my memory triggered by a voice on the end of a telephone, and the guilt I still hear in it... (Double acrostic)
I've often sat and wondered if
life would have been better if you didn't go
only twelve, my sister eight, we had yet to discover
vows of marriage, human flaws, you and mum
ended so suddenly, we didn't know why
youthful innocence now passed we understand
older but still your girls, our children call you Dada
underneath we always knew we were loved
