Autumn
We nip and tuck at autumn bud, beguiling us with lies, she hides
a bashful smile, we sigh
and cling to summer remnants.
Such fruitful dreams in fruitless skies,
beware the ones with stings ~
vainglorious bramble berries
leave more than just a stain.
Beautiful with ugly sneer
she snares us unaware,
her blowsy rouged colours
and shrieking aria.
We snip and sway at curling leaf
removing all dead wood and weed,
while autumn plants her little seed
to germinate her lore
An oasis in the seasons,
a mirage of soothing days,
we laze away with indians,
smoking signals to the sky.
