The Drive
it takes about thirty minutes
some might argue that
but lets not argue
it was a beautiful drive
however long it took
the most stark images
of that drive
the one I've just finished
that finds me here
with little worry of being more creative
are the patches of fog
they appear suddenly
and they are gone suddenly
the clock that man made has just struck midnight
which means it all happened yesterday
but to me
it was just then
streaming still
through my memory
via the stream of consciousness
as I ramble
about the fog
like layers of light
caught up in my headlights
sometimes they have a plateaued ceiling
sometimes they are a puff
above the bunny rabbits
no Kangaroos tonight
just the rabbits
and the fog
and one dead one
rabbit that is
yes, I'm sober
and they loved the soup...
