The Tenderness of a Genderless God
whatever God is
whoever we decide him to be
her gender is not specific
so less confusion we will see
she exists within the core of us
he never tells us anything more
excepting pure acceptance
it's the gift we can explore
forsake the grandiose plans
let go of what we should
marks and blemishes become invisible
for the sake of our greater good
cry rivers if you have to
and when the fountain's dry
smile that God let you release this
for she is not asking the reasons why
he only wants to walk beside you
as your spirit without need to seek wrong
she will caress you like a mother
and like a father, he will always be strong
so saints and dogmas aside
the next time you look in a mirror
take notice of the aura around you
and soon your soul will begin to shimmer
