If tomorrow never comes
If tomorrow never comesdo not look for me in harbors.
do not search for me under your pillow
do not search for me in your camouflaged guilt.
I am not going to be here
for anyone,for anything.
I am not going to be here
to satisfy your will
to live up to your expectations
to indulge in capitalistic elations.
If tomorrow never comes
do not think that I am a sign on the wall
neither a motto on your notebook
do not consider that I am a rebel
down in the demonstration
do not think I am a glimmer of warmth
or a shadow of cold.
I am not going to be a hope
neither a tear
I will be
what I always wanted to be
another cloud in the sky
another poem by a mad mastermind.
If tomorrow never comes
do not break down and cry
about all you have not said or done
or about your wasted time, always on the run.
I am not going to be a thought in your head
neither a blanket in your bed.
I am going to be who I always wanted to be
a star drowning in eternity
and a heart resting on the sand
under the summer's sweet sun.
