Cowrite: Kaede / Sun.Moon.Stars.Rain.
Just an observation....
Lines beginning with the letter "A":
Sun.Moon.Stars.Rain. - 1,
Kaede - 2,
Me - 8.
?
Dear god I hope I don't forget
A perfect start to summer
Could it get even better yet?
I felt alive again that day
I felt it coursing through my veins
A kind of life that washed away
All my remaining aches and pains
As we began our venture forth
I felt a weight from lift from my soul
And suddenly I found the grace
To love the task, not just the goal
The sun was bright--full overhead
The road as fine, with easy bend
What pastime can be more delightful
Than a carefree hike to meet a friend?
As we all laid in the grass
A tangled heap of lazy fun
A feeling through my heart did pass -
A sense that life had just begun
For from our grassy vantage point
The clouds were close enough to touch
The sun our faces did anoint
With the summer warmth we've craved so much
We lay in comfort; happy, warm
Allowed to dream of what we wished
We dared the soft white clouds to storm
While those around us swam or fished
Or stared with wonder at our smiles
Our triangle of summer bliss
I'd gladly walk so many miles
To spend more summer days like this
