Anxiety in Four Words

Just four simple words.
Yet few feel as threatening
as: "We need to talk..."

Oh yes, that's the way it is!
Thought it oughtn't to be so, really.
I'm convinced that far more relationship problems arise from insufficient communication, rather than from excessive talking. Seen from this point of view, "we need to talk" is a seriously underestimated truth and remedy. Yes sir, we all sure need to talk more!

Hmmm... I agree that these words can create a feeling of defensiveness. Good use of the haiku to remind us of this. I'm also trying to imagine myself saying these four words in a gentle and unpersuasive manner. I reckon I'd almost get away with it. :)
