A lonely tree

Sat beside this lonely tree is me
I look up to the branches
I close my eyes and think about my chances
Inspiration standing before me
All of a sudden i feel free
Dark clouds circle around
They start to make a banging sound
Rain begins to fall
But the tree still stands tall
What it would be like to be this tree
To stand there strong and free

This is very good. A tree is a very stable object, not likeour lives which ebb, and flow like the tide.
Tango.

This is very good, a tree is something stable, and solid, always there, not like our lives which ebb, and flow like the tide.

It would be lovely to be a tree. I love the simple connection you have made of the human spirit with nature; and although I can feel the sadness in this; these words are still very beautiful to me. I think you'd love Mary Oliver, but then; I've just discovered her so I am a little excitedly biased. Thank You for sharing this. :)
