Mental As Anything's "Not Enough"
I was trying to write a love poem.
~L.~
Not enough of loving from you
to justify everything I do
treated like a doormat, so rough
this old heart ain't so tough
I bought you your pussy cat
as I leave I'll take her back
keep your trinkets of gold
to remind you of me when you're old
I know you too well
can't fool me with the lies you tell
your body's too cold to touch
was a returned love from you too much?
For being treated so rough
your grovelling is not enough
I am not sorry I can't stay
enjoy your lies on this beautiful day.
