Again this is inspired by A.R.Glasgow's
wonderful poem "Torturous Contentment"

~L.~

A Soldier For Your Tortured Soul

Puncture marks of Death's impatience left
behind where his scythe tried to penetrate
shows the hell that you've been through
reveals the character strength of you,

For a gifted, though torturous soul are you
your words expose the pain your eyes hide
but you have survived and are still standing here
you are true and wonderful, my poet friend so dear,

So I shall guard your door against Death's knocking
a soldier for your war of personal torture
please understand you needn't fight alone
I am here for you as a safe home,

Death's impatience shall have to grow
Life's not ready for you to depart yet
although you are a torture haunted soul
I have the glue to make your pieces again whole.
