Words Of A Pondering Poet[Sonnet]


Do the words of a poet really help
can they change one's breaking heart
when a soul on broken ground has knelt
can poetic words cause faith in Life to restart
When in trouble there is a soul
and quitting they just want to do
if someone's jigsaw is not quite whole
does a poet's words really get through
As a breaking person feels so bad
at their life spinning out of control
do poetic words really anoint their sad
does those words help heal their hole
I want to believe their words mean something
and that true comfort the poet does bring.
