Before the sailing stars convince you
Of love ambitious and divine,
Think to think of floating people
Who share this red same love of mine.
I'd rather laugh intoxicated
Than wrack my soul for you
I feel, you see, a vague affection,
Only heartfelt 'cause it's new.
We tend to tip-toe top to stop
A broken, drunken waltz
Your heart is duller now, and grey,
But that's mine and not your fault.
