Little Visitor
Your son came over to play today
He looks so much like you
I can hear them laughing a room away
Bringing memories anew
It's been a year now since it ended
I still sit and wonder why
Between our children, bridges mended
But their giggles make me sigh
When he smiles I see your face
Tearing at my heart
The kids are asking for a sleepover
Why are we still apart?
Our little family untraditional
What is a normal family then?
The kids love unconditional
Why can't we learn from them?
