Cluttered Tounge

thoughts through my head,
coming and going
with no specific route in mind.
collisions causing confusion.
mental emptiness causing
a false clarity.

warm eye and a
soft touch.
emotions pouring through
the wet and glassy
mirror. a deep
and decadent mirror
that begs for me to behold.
too, a deep and decadent
breath, waiting for my
consent before
continuation.

indecision and a heart pulled
taught fogs my mind.
silly words mixed in
a stuttering clatter
are all that escape.

i feel the gazes
on my back heat my skin.
an awkward feeling,
like sticky skin parting from
leather on an August noon
in Hell.

another attempt at speech
failed.
in response,
a question
repeated.

"one scoop or two?'
a heart pieced back
together manages a
response through
a tight throat.

"one."
