Enough
If I could take you by the hand
lead you through my life
The things I've seen and done,
you'd understand who I am
I can only show you
who I have become,
how the events of my years,
good or bad have shaped me
into the woman before you
All I ever wanted to be was enough
I make no excuses for my behaviour
Only the fact I was fighting
for the one thing that I wanted
so desperately to keep
The ferocity that turned you away
Was the strength of my love for you
If I'd had the chance
I would have fought off the world
to have you in mine
Now you can't hear my heart
Our love a distant memory to you
I wish I could forget
as easily as you.........
