In memory of Pest, who couldn't take it,
To my dead brother, killed in an instant,
To my Dad who gave me every love,
And to my love, who is my home.
" You were a milestone
In my sex life"
Said the old friend
Whom I had forgotten.
I chuckled at the memory,
As my teens,
Flashed across my brain .
It was only
A shy fumble,
But for him,
My breasts
Had been a
Milestone.
But you were my first
Milestone,
Changing my life,
Forever
In your death.
Losing all my value,
I could never compete,
With your brilliance.
All those years,
Feeling worthless,
Brainwashed into
Stupidity,
Never going
Anywhere.
Till one day
I found your papers,
Warnings from your
Headmaster,
Exams failed,
University denied.
No genius,
No longer the
Brilliant.
And then there
Was always,
The doctor,
The inventor,
The kindness,
Coming from
You,
Perfect, imperfect
Father.
Your strength,
Never complaining,
Never hinting
At your cancer.
And now,
Five years of love,
Turning
Full cycle,
We both
Have begun again,
Loving,
Touching.
A warm, complete life.
Breaking with all my
Shadows,
You are my last
Milestone .
