Environmental Pollution

Environmental pollution?
I'm afraid there's no simple solution.
Global warming kills bears,
plays havoc with hares,
and screws up the World's evolution.

A few belts of ours need tightening,
to avoid this disaster so frightening.
Our lifestyle fuels greed,
consumes more than we need,
our Planet is sick of the "blightening."

Some folk have no water to drink,
yet ours goes to waste down the sink.
Our rubbish piles high,
and our fumes choke the sky,
we need to have major re-think.

Some people are just skin and bones,
yet here some have holiday homes!
We worship our cars,
dream of holidays on Mars,
and continue to live on our loans.

Us humans just carry on breeding,
while our Planet still lies here just bleeding.
Prince Charles yesterday,
had plenty to say -
his words need complete global heeding.

For our Prince did the Dimbleby lecture,
this is true and not just conjecture.
His words soft and wise,
would bring tears to your eyes,
(he knows more than just architecture.)

There'll be pestilence, flooding and gales,
when this Planet finally fails
to uphold our crass race -
we are such a disgrace.
Thank God for our dear Prince of Wales.

A good well writan poem , points well made. Now hear an interesting history point. hear on the Isle Of Thanet , it was against the law too burn coal. it was a hanging offence! This was in the middle ages , so it should be still on the statute books!
