"Serious Poet" poetry using BIG words learnt from
[band]Nightwish, please let me know if the flow
is smooth and makes sense as this took THREE hours to write.
~L.~
Aegis of Elysian Fields cover, as bones of
restlessness war wail silent screams,
against Love's mirage as they rot
in their grave of deceiving quicksand,
Lost is the key, to unlock Love's
harsh prison of my own making,
Like the noose around a dead man's neck,
tightening, torturous chains begin external shaking.
The pill of my Sanity's all gone,
as is my love; lost, torn, forlorn,
with the truth, me you scorned,
only your Death can see me reborn.
The echo of your lip's gentle kiss lingers
like fruitless fantasy fingers,
I lose track of time
as memories of you
forcefully, unwillingly, invade my mind.
Like a Vixen in a chicken coop slyly
you stole my heart, and in
the whirlwind of flying feathered confusion,
I was suckered , betrayed by our "True Love" delusion.
Deceiving quicksand masquerades in Love's mirage
rotting in that grave so cold, silent screams of the
betrayed heart and restless bones wail, but shall
never find peace, under aegis of Elysian fields.
