It is
a funny thing
to be in love
a time to wonder how
do you pronounce the word marmalade?
I think of your fingertips touching
your lips
and then
a smile flickers like candle light
tremble
I dreamt of
traveling the world
but I'll settle for
an adventure across an island
I dreamt of
your kiss on
the dance-floor a Tuesday night
but I'll settle for
your heart as well
