Wherever You May Go
It has been such a long, long whileSince anyone has made me smile.
I think of you and it begins,
My face breaks out in great big grins.
It does not happen very often.
Maybe once or twice at best.
You find that someone special
That outshines all of the rest.
I will walk with you wherever you may go.
I'd climb the highest mountains, go through the deepest snow.
Into the deepest jungle, over the desert sand.
From the beaches of Miami, to the hills of old San Fran.
Across the widest rivers, down in the valley low.
I will walk with you, Babe, wherever you may go.
Although we're many miles apart
It's you that owns my beating heart.
I close my eyes, you're here, it seems.
I see you nightly in my dreams.
A hopeless dreamer, I may be.
I wish my dreams were true.
For there you're in love with me
As much as I love you.
I will walk with you wherever you may go.
I'd climb the highest mountains, go through the deepest snow.
Into the deepest jungle, over the desert sand.
From the streets of Vancouver, to the banks of the Rio Grande.
Across the mighty rivers, down in the valley low.
I will walk with you, dear, wherever you may go.
A sweeter lady I'll never find.
You are always here on my mind.
Yes, I am smitten that's for sure.
You're what ails me so, I want no cure.
This I know for a fact,
You had me from the start.
I pray one day we'll together be
And we will never part.
I will walk with you wherever you may go.
To a tropic island, or to a glaciers snow.
To the darkest deepest jungle, to the desert sand.
I'll walk beside you anywhere if you hold my hand.
Across the raging rivers, where the north winds do blow.
I will walk with you, babe, wherever you may go.
