Going Back, Moving Forward
Could it be, that we, can undo the pain?
A second chance, start over again?
Take the lessons of our past
Could we rebuild our love and make it last?
It felt so good to talk to you
Say I missed you and you said it too...
I told you Pink Floyd still makes me cry
You laughed, Fleetwood Mac, we both knew why
You will always be a part of me
At last the truth comes out, sets us free
Still it frightens me, I don't want to be your mother
Can I learn to give but not to smother?
To be wanted but not carried away?
Become one but let my identity stay?
Keep both feet planted firmly in the ground?
Oh shhhh you say.... then there was no sound...
