Patience as a moment passes
On this day
Thinking back for the first time in moths, years
All the pain and the terrible memories seem like a hazy drift of nightmares
In my world you no longer exist
Am I strong?
enough..
My life is still hard, I never thought leaving you would change that.
I will let this moment of words, this poem,
drift across the web, possibly pass by your heart.
I do not love you
I do not hate you
I do not fear you
I once loved you before I knew who you were
I never hated you
I once feared you
You have become a ghost from my past, a fellow human with a life separated from mine
and I have nowhere to place you in my life
I hope your life drifts better
and your child smiles and is happy
I hope you respect the wishes I expressed to you years ago
and leave me alone.
If you cross my boundaries, I will never find where you should be, if you should be in my life
Stay where you are, but say hi to him
the sweet innocent child left in your care
be a better father for him
than you ever were for me and my sister.
This is my closure. All I wish to say I will never be able to tell, for you will never listen, only twist my words like you always have.
Farewell.
