Nobody

I'm a nobody, no one really knows.
No one really cares if I come or go.
Just a simple man lost in the crowd.
Seldom making any noise, never ever loud.

A nameless face you see on a busy street.
No one anyone would ever want to meet.
Living out my life in anonymity,
A harmless little fuzz ball sailing on life's sea.

Everyone is someone to someone,
This my friend is true.
So treat everyone the way you wish
Everyone would treat you.

This old world if full of people just like me.
Doing what they do, just trying to live free.
Rarely making any waves, never a big splash.
Nothing very fancy, no pizazz and no flash.

So as you go through life, be kind to those you see.
The faceless people in the crowd, the next one may be me.
A simple nod or a smile can go a long long way
To brighten up tremendously someone's mundane day.

Everyone is someone to someone,
This my friend is true.
So treat everyone the way you wish
Everyone would treat you.

I found myself nodding and smiling at the computer. Thank you for the reminder, we all need a one now and then.

"Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me."

I remember that song from 1970; we sang it at my HS graduation.

Your poem brings peace to mind in its kindness and it's wisdom. Thanks for posting.
