The Miles Between Us

I once thought
That I almost had you
For what could be a second time
I came so close
Close enough to almost touch you
But then you left
Leaving me alone
Feeling as if I'm standing in an empty street
Knowing you're far away now,
With nothing but miles between us
If I could
I would take you back
But for now
All the miles between us
Are only going to grow

There is a beautiful! There is an Indian movie song:
"There are centuries of distances between your and my heart,
"Who would believe that we ever walked the same path...?"

Your poems reminds me of that:

Some times we are so near,
So near we can touch each other,
But our hearts are miles apart,
I am afraid to make a move,
Lest, you will break my heart!
Shun it away, and cast it aside,
Out of your life's cart!
Then I would be stranded
In the middle of life's highway!
Oh, what happened to those days?
When we were together, and
World was a thing apart?

Sometimes I think we are miles apart!!
