A New World

I awoke today and I lost my sight,
for I have been living in darkness,
and now behold the light,

as my senses returned what was this before me?
a new world of love,
a new air to breathe,

all fears are gone, only one remains,
that all this is a dream,
i'll be lost again,

but a feeling inside gives me courage and heart,
and I know the truth that was hidden so long
will be in my soul, and will never depart

"all fears are gone, only one remains,
that all this is a dream,
i'll be lost again,"

There is hope in these lines and yet there is fear.
Its very skillfull to capture such different feelings in but one sentence.
