Another Goodbye
The rain gently brushes our faces as it falls from the sky,as slow steps lead us to a familiar place of parting,
the seasons change, the hand in mine is often absent,
but as sure as seasons change they return,
and with great certainty as you leave my grasp,
I feel time relinquish it's pressure with each passing day,
and ready my arms to hold you once more.
A final embrace, you say it always feels like one too little,
fighting to control the pain that throbs with every heartbeat,
I agree, and hold your shadow in my senses,
your scent, your touch, your laughter, your eyes, your kiss.
