If I cried a tear


If I cried a tear and it ran down my cheek
Would you dry it up,
Would you even notice it?

I cry these tears for you,
For where we are,
For where we were!

You were my life,
You gave me pleasures unbeknown to me
But now...

If I cried a tear and it ran down my cheek
Would realize it was for you?
Would you help me through it?

If I cried a tear and it ran down my cheek
Would you still be around to see it?

If you cried a tear, such a beautiful,
Glistening warm, shining like a pearl,
A tear, for some one, you fear, would not
Even notice, such a precious little gem
Of a tear; then, my friend, I think the
Person, excuse my saying so, is blind,
Not to see, Is deaf not to hear, the
Anguished cry of such a heart, so full
Of unfounded fear...! To shed such a tear...
