Perhaps

perhaps you will
at a point in time
stroll into the unknown
knowing
perhaps your will
will guide you
to a place of rest
a pillowed nest
perhaps the love
that can not be bought
yet always sought
will kiss you before you die
and there your wings
open wide over mountains
as the angels soar
will see you fly

perhaps you will
at a point in time
never know
the knowing
perhaps you were born
to a culture scorned
and in its blood
you will remain
perhaps the love
that you never knew
defines your life
gives nothing more
and with no wings
over mountains wide
you fall to the valley
through the darkest door

your life
by chance
by fate
by will
by fabric woven
could be
either
or
perhaps

Enjoyed the questioning nature of this poem, sort of, you can never know what's around the corner and sometimes that is good.
