This is a poem about a subject that really pains me to think about

Sad for Now

He asked for her hand, and guiltless she took flight
Took no thought of consequences, nor the child in plain sight
Who will rock the babe and hum a soothing lullabye
Mommie's not around, daddy not an appropiate stand-by
Tiny heart now confused, granny not adoring,
lies her head on a lumpy pillow as tears continue pouring

Zoya Zaidi
Loventutu, what a lovely name,
And what a lovely poem besides that name
You captured the essence of story so well,
And how in few words is a saga told,
Bravo, my friend, you have a beautiful pen
Behold, a new Poet comes to the Bay,
Look what a lovely poem he has posted today!

(((((Hugs dear lovetutu, welcome to the bay!))))))))

Love,xxx, Zoya
