Water
It shifts in whichever direction it chooses.
It finds its own place, filling every alcove perfectly.
It has depths uncharted.
It has inhabitants unknown.
It is water.
People like me are water.
We move wherever we deem is next.
We fit in enough to stand out, stand out enough to fit in.
We have parts of ourselves no one knows abouts.
Our thoughts understood by few.
We are different.
Earth
At a point, it meets land.
It crashes against it suddenly.
It calms down and sits beside it.
It follows the curve of land, understanding it.
That is nature.
People like me meet someone inevitably.
We enter their lives suddenly, usually with a wrong impression.
By time we can sit beside each other and talk.
We can share stories, showing how much we understand each other.
That, is nature.
Even though we are deemed different, at the same time I believe we are the same.
On this earth, water dominates, it erodes the land, yet at the same time builds it up.
Until the day when I dry up, lets be together, let us live this moment in a unity none can hope to degrade.
That, is what i'm asking for.
