Translating Tears
I might put on a smile
for the few minutes I see you everyday
but on the inside my heart cringes
But I hold out as long as I may
You might think I've forgotten you
in this break we've taken
but I've started to see you in all I do
cause you've left one big empty chunk behind
Now I cry these tears
in the dark corners of my heart
not for my mistakes,
but for taking you for granted
Now I cry these tears
here alone at home
my fingers trembling
as I translate them into poems
