Never Apart
Before me you appear as a flower unfurled,with colours rich and alive.
Do not mourn each temporary separation,
for ours is a love of patience
and belief beyond before.
Comfort in our impending embrace,
our union destined to prosper and last,
such things keep me warm at night
and my spirit strong.
Never are you alone.
In day we share the same sunlight,
warming and illuminating us together.
And you are seconds from my voice and mind.
At night we share the same spotlight,
and the stars are the same blanket
which does cover us both.
And still I am at arms-length from your ear.
In dreams I am closer, then my soul is truly near to yours.
So it is that I may appear in front of you even as your eyes are closed.
Such is the power of our hearts.
