Life Support
I used to rely on myself
And walk down the street alone.
I never had someone to lean on
When I didn‘t want to go home.
I just kept running,
And I’d run out air.
I just kept running
Because no one was there.
Just as I thought I’d stop breathing
Eventually
You came and found all of me.
I’m on life support,
Don’t let me go.
I don’t know what I’d do,
And I don’t want to know.
If you happen to leave
I don’t know if I’ll survive
You’re my life support;
You keep me alive.
I used to wonder what it’s like to
Finally let everything slip away
I would try to forget how to breathe
Just to see if I’d let go one day.
Now that you’re here
I don’t want to let go today.
You’re the one who steals my breath
And it’s perfectly okay.
I’m on life support
I want you to know,
You don’t have to breath for me,
You can just let me go.
If you happen to leave
I’ll try my best to survive.
You’re my life support;
You keep me alive.
Take my breath away;
I’ll be okay.
