My stranger.
For I know not what you do,
A comment I gave from me to you,
Was purely said straight from my heart,
For your life is where I play my part.
Yet stranger, I have such heed,
A garment to you in which I’ll bleed,
Your beautiful hair and eyes that lush,
For when I see, I can’t but blush.
You take pride and I do not blame,
For I wish to walk you and to claim,
Your love is all I want to keep,
Hold on tight, and bury deep.
And if my chance is rotten for you,
Say the words and we’re through,
For I want what is best, my love,
And I’ll leave to meet thee above.
Can’t say I tried in love at first sight,
I don’t know why, but it just feels right,
So take my hand and do not stray,
And we can walk the night away.
