A dating site brought forth some insight into the traps people so easily fall into...

Do You Like Pina Coladas?

She says "You seem pretty lonely, it's been a while"
"Why don't you try this new social site?"
So I load up a pic,
And snoop round a bit
Fourteen friend requests, hey alright!

My profile says I like beaches,
He says "Hey there peaches!,
"Would you like to catch up for a bite?"
I can't see the harm, and he's full of charm
It's not like it'll happen tonight...

It all seems above board, we like the same things
But so do two hundred women on his list
He says "Don't worry hun,
You're the only one"
Message sealed with a red shiny kiss...

My curiosity fired,
I'll admit I conspired..
With my ego to trap My Don Juan
I called her "Chrissy Bee", more risqué than me
In one night seventeen friends acquired

It was no surprise when I checked the next night
My suitor and alias matched
He claimed undying love,
For Chrissy "My Dove"
Thus my little plan was hatched... ;)

Chrissy agreed to meet,
A place more discreet,
I had the waiter deliver my note...
"Hey there peaches, I hear you like beaches"
Wish I'd been there to watch the wretch choke..

Though the poem was tongue in cheek, it revealed a lot. It was written with such grace and wit that I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a poem so much.

Bravo.
