Walking on Water

I think I saw a piece of heaven, I could almost touch it
I think I heard the angels sing, I nearly felt it
I think God spoke to me, I almost lost my breath

Do you see me, do you hear me, can you even feel my pain
I shouted your name time and time again, looking for answers, searching the truth
Do you see me, do you hear me, do you even care
I just wanted to know I'm not alone, I just wanted some proof

I think I saw a prophet saying his gospel, I almost believed it
I think I heard the word, I nearly knew what it was
I think I saw Jesus walk on water, I almost cried

Can you see me, can you hear me, do you even hear my prayers
I shouted your name time and time again, looking for answers, searching the truth
Can you see me, can you hear me, do you even bother
I just wanted to know I'm not alone, I just wanted some proof

I think I saw my faith jump out the window, I tried to grab it
I think I heard my hope drown, I nearly saved it
I think God stopped listening to me, I'm still screaming my heart out

very emotional and personal. i loved it, truly. not sure what inspired this poem but dont give up all hope. sometimes things happen for what seems like no reason at all, but down the road you eventually figure it out or come to a means of an end. The text however really draws you in as a reader and i was able to almost feel the pain in your words. very well done.
