Too big

My heart is too big for my chest,
I know this, it is not a lie,
everytime it beats,
I have more sound
than anyone around.
I feel it physically,
in the breath that
you caught on my lips,
it drained all the energy
and my ribs were
made of yours.

And when I am soft,
lying, pillowing my heat,
I feel more than a beat,
a tornado that gushes
and I am spun,
flung.

My heart is too big,
my chest caves
in its presence
and I can barely breathe,
heave a moth from a shelf,
I have music
in the arteries
they, so loud,
am I allowed to cough?
