Shark Bait

Deathlessness
evades her
as the days
linger on far gone,
outlasting
Love's perpetuity.
She is floating
upon the briny deep
hyaline sea,
abiding her time
swimming the currents
Alone.

Shark bait, yeah it can feel that way when the mind seeks moments from the past in order to quickly duplicate the memory of a feeling and in this case the feeling of safety that togetherness can bring.

But you know what I have discovered? It is right then that I realized what 'getting older' means = getting comfortable and relying on others instead of experiencing everything anew, instead of being open to new adventures and trust that it will be ok, keep relying on yourself, without knowing*what usually happens*because no matter what happens it will be ok or over(once and for all, it won't take long) and who knows? Maybe when you are in need for help, dolphins will come. This poem was a good reminder, thank you for sharing*applause*
