Like a Thirsty Child

I've scribbled
A poem or two,
In my time.
Pen ever ready,
Paper too,
I have to write
The words down
Instantly,
Before they
Evaporate.

Swift as I can,
I jot down
The precious words,
Trying to catch
Them all,
Like a thirsty
Child,
In the rain.

Can SO relate,
that's why my Journey poem
is the fave poem i've written,
it's the only poem I've been able to recall
and not write down straight away.

Love the imagery in the last stanza

Yes, the words/thoughts are precious.
Love your simple poem, and its flow.
