Like a Thirsty Child
I've scribbled
A poem or two,
In my time.
Pen ever ready,
Paper too,
I have to write
The words down
Instantly,
Before they
Evaporate.
Swift as I can,
I jot down
The precious words,
Trying to catch
Them all,
Like a thirsty
Child,
In the rain.
