I wrote this soon after she departed from the mortal coil.
Poems helped me to cope with her illness and dying.

Heritage Lost

Her life was sliding away,
But she was so strong.
I thought there was time,
To capture her rich heritage.
Cruel was the clock,
None was put down,
Now, she is gone.
Her heritage lost.
Some is in my head,
I would like to lay it down,
In your honor, Jodi.
My beloved wife,
Departed this March

As you said, her heritage remains. It's in you.

To of loved to be loved , never perishes , the heritages , is all around , the cheeky impish smile looks from the heritage left behind , the love remains , death , can not take a way , the love lives on all around you , remember with a smile , do not let the grief poses you , let the love live on with in you , and in the heritage that remains all ways with you.
