Paulie want a Cracker?

A tear
from my eye
A hole in my heart
A confused
mixed up brain
A soul
without art

My company
= none
and my friends are all fiends
My hopes
& my plans
Now far away dreams

You worry for
me
But I worry for
you
You try
hard to see
But
I'm blinded by
you

Out
of control
Out
of your time
Out
to be
hurled Inside
of this rhyme

Too stubborn
to be told
Too old to
teach
black holes in my
skull
an arms length
to reach

Paulie want a Cracker?
No!
Damn Birds!
I said so
before, it dosn't
matter anymore

Try if you will
but
I must
say
I am ill
it's wednesday
today
And now time for my pills

Welcome to PoetBay, Mr Constant.
Being Birdie, I'm a little shy of commenting, but this piece moved me deeply in its raw account of a woeful Wednesday. The structure echoes the sadness of the content, each line descending slowly as a teardrop.
Often the key to understanding lies in simple acceptance.
Very gentle applause... :>)
