For Jim who caught my typo ( spelling error) in a recent poem and sparked this one for me

Wonton Disregard

Dazzling red tasseled chandeliers
Muraled rice wallpaper
With quotes from Li Po
Black minimalist chairs and tables
Softly discordant Zhong-Hu melody
Steaming Lo Mein

Overstuffed nose ringed
Blonde waitress
Stainless steel utensils

I'm still smiling as I write this, the wonderful pun in the title, the disconnect between the intended ambience and the waitress, the utensils. Perhaps only in America. Having had the "real experience" many times in Asia, I was always embarrassed when friends came here and were subjected to what they endured with good grace but surely with profound distaste (pun intended).

Well, you may envy my rhythm 'n' rhyme, Joe, but I wish I had your artistic ability! Such a full picture here with so few lines, and a generous dash of humour too.
Applause!
