How things can go from thinking to feeling.




Thinking and Feeling

 

I see a picture

 

It speaks to me, it tells me things

 

It tells me what I want to hear

 

It tells me Im a great person, a terrific person

 

That I am the greatest person in the world

 

 

But after a while the picture changes

 

And suddenly it tells me Im a terrible person

 

That I am the weakest person alive

 

I dont want to listen, but I cant stop my self

 

Please make it stop!

 

I cant bare it!

Feelings--can't live with 'em; can't live without 'em. You've really expressed how feelings can interpret our thoughts, and not always the way we'd like them to. I try to be highly suspect of both of them, feelings and thoughts. Sometimes it's better to ignore both--or at least question them. Enjoyed your poem very much.
