Conundrum
Why does night fallSo brilliantly black
When city lights illuminate
Low clouds
Cold winds
Pull your clothes
Tear your eyes
Streetlamps glow
Strung electric amber
Necklaces
Solitary sentinels
Warming as distant stars
Unmoving as you transit
Their cheerless glow
Why do I
Wish for love
Only to find care
And wish for care
only to find
love
