Thoughts On Flights
I hold a smallSimple thing
A wood screw
One of hundreds
from the box
To be used without thought
To fashion something
Much more grand
Archimedes
Would be pleased
To know how
Fundamental
His concept was
To the benefit
Of us all.
From spiral staircase
To the lowly screw
From pump to prop
From fan to foil
He is the father of them all
