Worn out words

This isn't fading
only because I keep letting myself indulge
in the thought of you

and I shouldn't
should respect the reality of you
not meddle you into my illusory you that seems to be taking form in my mind

How many thousand times have I claimed my love so strong, that
this time it's different
you're different

and you always are
just not correctly different
nor correctly right
for me

I'm tired of my words
afraid that they will twist you into something other than you are
that my mind will erode you into the shape I hope you to be
and not the beautiful man that you are

Shut my eyes
keep my thoughts from streaming
hold these moments between us
this heart of mine still
watching, learning - instead of choosing
while we live and acquaint ourselves with the other's ways, mind
and heart

The words might be worn out, but they somehow still seem to flow beautifully across the page.

As always, your exploratory texts touch and connect with my emotions.

Thank you <3
