Reverie

The sea is joyous
An amalgam of Khachaturian and Monet
We sail in completeness
Alone my boat and I
A rhythmic wondrous adventure
To the horizon of tomorrow

Random thoughts
Embrace the day
Retracing the years
Wandering my lifescape
On tiptoe

Regretting things
Done and undone
Wishing to change the unrepairable
Knowing consequence turns
Pages irrevocably
Acceptance

A wraith is my companion
Amorphous yet present
Ever increasing in density
A blurred image gaining focus

In softly sonorous loving tones
It speaks to me
Of my life
Gently telling
My journey
Simply addressing
Its myriad faults and rare positives

As the timeless day wears on
Vibrant blue to opalescence
I sense an ease
Lightness

With infinite grace the cosmic alchemy
Has created a single being
I am become the wraith

I have been taken by the hand
My scarred and battered life accepted
My eternity has begun
In peace

Your sea, my fields . . . strange in a way that it is the expanse of such places that makes us look within, introspection and reverie.
